EHA provides regular training seminars in the form of a SIG workshop every few months with SIGs coordinating a speaker to discuss or introduce a topical issue. Although most workshops are held in the Perth metropolitan area, it is planned to conduct additional workshops in country regions.

“Food, from Both Sides”

The short seminar will cover food issues from both the regulator and food manufacturer point of view. Some of the topics covered will be National labeling issues, health claims standard, and risk management.

Presenters include

Rainer will provide a update on labelling issues and general food regulation from a national level. 

Kim will provide an overview of the food manufacturers concerns in areas such as the Health Claims standard and nutrient profiling; and industry progress with agreement on third party accreditation for auditors.
He also is willing to answer questions from the audience – so come prepared!

Walter will be introducing risk management as well as outline his new role in the food risk management arena.

The short seminar will be held at Grace Vaughan House, on Wednesday 27 February 2008 from 3.00pm to 5.00pm.  Refreshments sponsored by CGU Insurance will follow.  Complimentary Admission.
