The 7th EHAA National Environmental Health Conference

Rendezvous Hotel, Scarborough
20th & 21st October 2011

Commemorating the centenary of the Health Act 1911, the conference program will focus on a combination of old issues and emerging themes in Environmental Health.  Conference delegates will take an evolutionary journey through the Environmental Health profession featuring prominent historian Sue Graham-Taylor AM delivering a presentation on the History of Waste Disposal in Western Australia.  The conference program will also incorporate a full day workshop by Dr Chris Reynolds discussing the implementation of Public Health Law in Australia with particular reference to the structure and principles of the new Public Health Bill and how to prepare policies under this legislation.  This session is a must for local government managers and those wishing to manage the transition to the new legislation.

  • The conference program will also feature presentations on;
  • The new Building Bill
  • Natural disasters and disaster recovery
  • Mental Health

This year’s conference grand finale will be its Gala Dinner featuring comedic antics by Matt Hollywood entertainment.  The EHAA invites delegates to join in a fun night with a full dinner and drinks in the magnificent Ocean Room at the Rendezvous Hotel.

We hope that you will be able to join us in October and invite you to register now to secure your place at this year’s event.
